The Golf Club of Kansas believes that the game of golf should be enjoyable, affordable, accessible, and able to be played in a timely fashion. We are committed to eliminating these most commonly cited obstacles to playing more golf. Our plans to overcome these obstacles are bold, ambitious, innovative and wide-ranging.
Lack of Time - “No time to play” will cease to be a factor when players realize that we are committed to expeditious play.
- Well spaced starting times to prevent course ‘flooding'
- Foursomes will be created when possible to enhance flow
- A course design that incorporates ‘hole grouping' to minimize ‘out of bounds'
- Generous tee shot landing areas keep you in play
- A ‘first cut' of intermediate rough to slow any slight miss-hits from running into the thicker rough
- Long native grasses in out of play areas only to reduce ball hunting
- Chipping zones surround greens for easy recovery shots
- Accurate yardages aiding with club selection and accuracy
- All Golf License Holders will be rules/etiquette certified and committed to playing each 9 holes in 2 hours or less
